At most workplaces, when purchasing office furniture, they decide to buy an office swivel chair. They hardly consider anything else, as this is part of the image associated with office furniture. Such a chair offers several features that make it suitable for office use:

  • it rolls on casters, making quick repositioning easy; you don't have to lift and move it back when the user wants to stand up from their desk.
  • it often also has adjustable armrests.
  • its backrest is typically adjustable.
  • almost every part of the more expensive versions can be customized.

Still, if you sit on it all day, all week, all year, your back will hurt, and that recurring, unpleasant discomfort will appear, that no matter how you fidget, sitting on it still leaves a bad feeling. Of course, this is not the chair's fault, but the consequence of sedentary work, more precisely, the incorrect, slouched posture.

So the question naturally arises whether the wedge cushion can be used on an office swivel chair?

The answer is yes, it can greatly improve the user's posture in this case as well, since its firm foam placed on an average swivel chair creates a completely new seating surface. The wedge cushion's appropriate firmness ensures it performs its function and tilts the pelvis forward.

However, if the chair's seat surface is extremely soft, or curved / deep, it is worth considering acquiring another seating option. From the spine's perspective, a simple, straight-lined wooden chair with a wedge cushion on it is an excellent solution.
