The Price of Health

Our health is a precious treasure, and regaining it is often very costly. If we are in pain, no matter the cost, we do not spare the money for healing.

According to a 2014 survey, in Hungary, residents aged between 18 and 60
spend on the following items in an average month:

  • 4,500 forints on medications,
  • 29,400 forints on dental treatments (during the treatment),
  • 24,500 forints on ophthalmic supplies,
  • 16,000 forints on medical aids.

The size of the above amounts clearly shows that prevention is much cheaper and a more reasonable solution.

The price of a wedge pillow, lumbar support, or cylindrical pillow is half that of a cheap private medical visit fee, and that’s not even mentioning the lost work time due to complaints,
sick leave, the extensive follow-up, and pain.
